My problem is this, one day I can drive the truck half the day with no problem other days it seems like as soon as I go to take off it sets. The problem is this...when I accelerate hard it acts like the whole truck just shuts down for a second or two then it comes back and I have a check engine light on. The thing that gets me is it does it at different times under different conditions its never the same. About a month and a half ago I replaced the lift pump,everything was finefor about 2 or 3 weeks now when the check engine light sets I always get a code 1689 sometimes I get a 1693 and twice Ive gotten a code 1688. Any help would deffinately be appreciated......

 

The codes are this

1689- No communication between ECM and injection pump

1693 DTC detected in companion module,DTC detected in ECM/PCM

1688 Internal fuel injection pump controller failure
