EGT's

I just recently added gauges and a TST Power MAX 3 box the other day. I will be adding injectors in a few days. My problem is that my EGT's are easily pushed to the max limit. How can I cheaply lower these things?

Agree with Spark Chaser puttin more cool air in would be cheapest...second would be gettin the exhaust out (straight 4" pipe)

Re:EGT's

Are your 5" stacks 4" from the turbo back to where they go to 5"?
I would say you will need the exhaust if you don't already have it, a Scotty 11 with the cowl hole, and a turbo. Sorry but the turbo will be necessay if you want to use the power. I run dd111's, edge comp, 4"exhaust, Scotty 11, and a PDR HX40 and still have EGT troubles in the summer empty. It has to be -10*C before I can stay under 1300* with the fuel all the way up from 0 to 120MPH. I am already looking for more air with this set up.
JMHO of course

Re:EGT's

How much boost are you creating? It sounds like you don't have enough. You should be able to keep EGT's under control unless your under a load.

Kirmey

Re:EGT's

You've upgraded the fuel delivery, now you have to add some air, or better quality air. Age old equation of diesel Air + Fuel = Power ......

Upgrade the intake, or even consider a turbo change, and if you want to go further, ported head, and camshaft.

Re:EGT's

With the BHAF, 4" straight pipe, and comp unplugged, I can hit 1100+ pre turbo, 800+ post. With comp plugged in, I have trouble hitting 700 post. Don't know bout pre. Just moved the probe.
