ECM fuel relay?
ECM fuel relay?
Does the ECM fuel relay just quit and go out or is it intermittent? Clean filters, 1/2 tank of fuel and this is the third time it's died on the hwy. This $%#|! is getting old. I was trying to get to work early. Im on the side of the road. Any help w/b appreciated
I jumped12v tO the lp and now 15psi. Loosened the inj lines, fuel is being pumped by the IP but it won't run. Spray it w/either and it fires over for a second but that's it.
Im usually pretty good and figure out and fix anything and have parts to do so but i had the truck towed home. Going to ck more grounds and the ECM lp relay today. Any ideas w/b appreciated.
I'm not entirely sure on this, but I think that relay does more than just powering the lift pump, like supplying power to the injector pump too. So, if the relay or its circuit fails, simply jumping power to the LP is still leaving the IP without power.

Good point, thanks.
The fac Lp was only pumping 5psi. I swapped relays, eliminated the factory lp I had inline. I now only have the Holley. I primed it all, cracked 3 inj lines and am now back to 15 psi @ idle. The only thing ican think of is that the factory LP was dying and causing a restriction preventing the Holley from pushing thru it.

If it is the 1st generation...Cut your number 5 wire at the pump.....BUT B4 doing that, just unplug the pump and try ,crank it over,,see if she will run (should idle) nothing more.
Now if that works cut #5 going into the pump..long story...you will never miss it...and it might be your cure

What does ^ do?
It idles @ 15psi but driving it, the psi falls to about 11. That's not really where I want it to be as when I tow, it's going to drop it below 10psi. Thoughts?
Thanks for the input!

Checked everything...talked to Chip..he said CUT number 5
WORKED !.Nota a problem in a over a year !
