Took my truck in to a local shop today and was told the ECM is bad. What it will do is every morning or afternoon I will not have any power, if I let off of the pedal and push again it may fix it or I may have to kill the truck and start it again. Also when going down the road at around 55 or so it will feel like it is stuck in overdrive and you have to floor the pedal to get power again. I know ive got to replace something but I dont want to start throwing parts at it.

 

what codes are being set?

 

They told me it threw a 1693 code on three different screens. While running he cleared the codes and within 30 seconds it popped back up again.

Do the three key trick to see your codes. Key off and on 3 time and codes show on the odometer.
