Question Developed a knock.. Need Help..

Need another opinion here guys. I have a 1999 24v and I was pulling my 35' fifth wheel toybox over the holliday weekend and was returning home. I was pulling fine up a slight incline. Then pulled over for a short break. when I fired it back up I noticed a Knock that would speed up when I stepped into the throttle. I continued to a fuel station where I checked all fluid levels. All were fine. I continued home (another 350 or so miles) Not a lick of problems other than the noise. I detached my trailer and changed the oil just because. Knock was still apparent with no noticable loss of power. The guages all read fine, so the only things I can think of would be valve issue or the dreaded #6 cylinder. Any Ideas?

You should fill your sig out so we know more about your truck. If its an automatic a cracked flex plate or loose converter bolts are possible.

Do you have a pyrometer? If not i would suspect that you could of melted some metal off the number 6 slug.

The truck has a fresh rebuilt Automatic trans with Billit converter. I have a Pyro and the truck never reached dangerous levels.

I am hopeing it is not the dreaded #6 problem. Is there any way short of pulling the motor to tell if it is a block. I hear that pump could also be an issue.
