Decent rotors..?

Already bought the mopar pads and thought about cutting rotors but upon further inspection, there no good. To add to that, I also have a destroyed driver side bearing(hub).

This is my first time doing brakes on this truck and would like to ask for any opinions or recommendations on certain brands or place to deal/buy from?

I prefer staying away from the cheap made in china autoparts but have also heard the mopar rotors are way overpriced and there are other comapanies that make similar or better products for less?
Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

BTW this is for a 02 2wd 3500

I just ordered front and rear rotors and pads from a company in CA who processes their rotors in house, not in china. If you upgrade to slotted and dimpled rotors they include pads free and they come with a lifetime guarantee. Mine are due to arrive tomorrow. www.brakeperformance.com They carry for all makes and models. I also ordered for wife's mustang.

I just put Power Slot slotted rotors on my truck, bt not too many miles yet. Great braking so far! I have run Power Slots on two Furd work trucks for 100k miles (f350 4x4 and f450 4x4) and they are very good. No warping, no problems.
I went to Tire Rack sice they had the best price at the time.

if you have an o1 or 02 you can upgrade your brakes to the larger 03 and up rotors, all you need is the caliper brackets from an 03 (I paid 25$ for one and 66 for the other) the rotors (78$ each) and 17 inch factory rims from an 03 and up, I ended up getting a set for 200$, I just put a set of hawk pads and rotors on a couple months ago, and cannot wait to ditch them. I've posted before that as a courior I eat thru pads pretty quick, the difference between the 02 and 03 brakes is huge, but I still cant justify replacing mine yet until I wear out the pads. something to think about if you have to replace the rotors and pads anyway.
There are a couple threads about this conversion floating around on the forums.

Thanks for the replies, i've heard several people make good comments on those Power slot rotors.

nickg, that brake upgrade is something I never thought about back when I got new tires last summer. I got a great deal on some new Firestone highway 16" tires for $65 each, that I just couldn't pass up on. I also had a buddy who had a spare set of stock 17inch wheels since he had upgraded to 22.5's on his 05 and was willing to let me have the wheels, just needed tires.

I also need the drivers side hub bearing or entire hub..? Think you can't repair the bearing but you have to order the whole hub..?

the bearing is a sealed unit held in by 4 bolts, its a couple hundred dollars, very easy to replace...if things are not too rusted,
I'm kinda in the same boat as you are, I just put in new rotors and hawk pads, but I need tires soon, and I got a good deal on a set of 17inch rims. I'm pretty sure I'm not even going to burn off these brakes(will only take a couple of months to wear them out anyway). I'll post a link someone else started about pads, I entered my experience with different pads, you can read and judge for your self. Where are you located? If your close I know a guy who may have a set of gently used rotors he needs to get rid of, so he can proceed with the 3rd gen mod..hint..hint

Never had any problems with the Brake Best or Wagner rotors from O'reilly. I always use Wagner Thermo Quiet pads. Cant somplaint!

I just did my rear rotors and pads lastnight on my Dually. It came to $135.00 for both rotors and complete pad set..

Thanks guys, I kept digging through the forum searching for rotors and I ended up ordering brembo OE replacement rotors/130 shipped. I also got the timken bearing/hub assembly for 210 shipped. I gotta tow heavy next weekend and wanted to have everything ready by then.
nick: I'm located in south florida so there isn't rust problems on the truck
