I was at the Woodland Dodge Dealer on Tuesday night visiting a Friend who works there and he said a a Fax had just come through for a factory authorized RECALL on the troublesome 24 valve Lift pumps. I am not sure what all the details were i did not see it first hand but his comment to me when he mentioned it was that it was about time.

He was sincer and it sounded real, Anyone who can verify this to substantiate it would be great otherwise ill try and get a copy of it from him as proof positive. I had to sit down

 

I just checked my vin number for any new recalls. Nothing yet. I'll keep an eye out for something. They had recall in May 2000 when they came out with a revised pump.

I just checked on the NHTSA site, they had nothing but their records were only complete up 03/08/2004, you stated that the recall was put out on the 16th. Would be nice if the fix was bigger fuel lines and fittings , and maybe a dealer installed fuel psi guage.. and while we are at it maybe we could get them to through in an edge ez and some...... oh never mind.. wishfull thinking got the best of me there

just got mine back from the shop today and they checked the flow on mine and did not say anything about a recall on the lp.the tech did not know what vp44 was,he did'nt know the number anyway.
