Went to Cummins parts to get a new CPS. Went to install it on truck and the truck is still doing the same thing (runs like crap and intermittent tach.)
So I called to talk to a service tech. and we figured out that I had received the wrong part the part I received and installed was the Cam position Sensor. So I called back and talked to the parts guy who looked it up on the computer only to find that they have two sensors listed that only say position sensor (that's it) and the only way to figure out which sensor I need is by the location of it in the block (strange) I told him I would be right out to pick up there last one. I get there and he ask me if I have the old sensor and box with me and I said yes as I was not going to spend an hour removing it again. He said for me to bring it in and he'll give me the new sensor straight across for my hassle (aw-some). I ask him if he has any of the new fuel low micron fuel filters in-stock and he says he knows nothing about any new filters but he'll check. He comes back five minutes later and says here's the new fuel filter and he had never knew of them.

I ask him how much and he says its yours for your hassle. Is that cool or what?

Sounds like a disgruntled employee who is ready to leave the company! LoL

I got a free subway sandwhich the other day because the employee said " i dont feel like hassling with the register today".



Okay, maybe not on the same lines, im sure them guys at cummins were just being good guys.
