Most spoilers we use look roughly like in that sketch

Usually the spoiler height can be adjusted to the load you pull.

I don't know if one is really better then the other. I do know that the edge is cheaper. Is the blue chip a fueling box? that is another thing. I know when the time comes I am going to get a edge comp.

i was pretty much sold on the edge until the mecahic at cummins said the blue chip was better. if he had been trying to sell me one i could have shuged it off but he wasn't.
wish i was more knowledgable about what they do and why one would be better than the other

Can you talk to the machanic some more, maybe he could tell you what the really advantage of the bluechip would be. I'd be interseted to know what he says, also ask if he has used it our is this just what cummins recommends. Maybe the are working together to make money, or maybe this is the only one that cummins had approved.

I read the installation instructions on the Blue Chip box, it pierces the pump wire like a comp box. For long towing all the time I am afraid to do that. That being said, I like my EZ. Also they are giving you good information on the wind breaker. It is adding to your pulling problems. You would do better with a unit on the truck roof or none at all. Probably you are using it to protect the carrage on top, try a tarp instead. I do know that if you put EZ and injectors in it, you will be more than satisfied even with the air foil on top. I tow heavier, higher, and longer, with satisfaction.

The ez is just a timing box that gives you about 60 hp, while the comp is adjustable a has different setting from stock to 120 hp and the comp pierces the wire.

Cummins should be able to change the pump for you because it is a cummins. Is it still under warranty? If not do it yourself, get the pump from cummins. Atleast you finally have found out what the problem is. Good luck,

How come Cummins can pull the code but Dodge can't... maybe Dodge "can't" because they didn't try because they don't want to buy a VP-44. Seems to me like you could get an official diagnosis from the Cummins dealer to take to the Dodge dealer and get it fixed. It's pretty sad that Dodge needs a "note from mommy" to give them permission to replace a part that they issued a warranty on.

Can you get the Dodge dealer to TALK to the Cummins dealer? If they talk to Cummins, you might get them to listen and agree that the VP-44 is bad. You might also see if you can get a signed affidavit from the Cummins dealer stating that the injection pump is bad and use that in court to get reimbursed for the new VP-44 you'll have to buy in the mean time.

i am at the point of having way to much time invested into getting them to do what it needs to make it right. I really had hoped to be able to settle this amicabaly but starting to look like i am just going to have to turn it over to my attorney. He is on retainer so it won"t cost me anything initally to have him shake the bush's a little.

Sounds like a good plan. You have certainly been patient enough.
