I went to the local Cummins dealer in Houston Last night at 8:45PM (they are open until midnight M-F) to purchase parts to rebuild my engine. They did not have the intake and exhaust valves in stock and said they could get them to me by Thursday AM if I paid for overnight delivery $30 so I said sure. I left there at 9:30PM Tuesday I recieved my valves this morning Wed by 8:30

Apparently Cummins has some thinkers running the place and their main parts warehouse is in Memphis down the street from Fed EX. With the way FED EX is setup Cummins could probably recieve orders up until midnight and still get them out the next day I am not sure what they commit to though because the guy I was dealing with last night would not commit to Wed AM

 

Its what Cummins calls Engine Down Orders they are all shipped via Air and delivered next day I get them all the time.
