IF you had this problem at the beginning and bought it from a dealer you should get them to replace the Injector pump as their 12 point inspection obviously should have had 13 points.
I don't think you will hurt too much by driving it although you might want to keep a bicycle in the back since the motor may stop running at any time.

I would check the lift pump when replacing the IP but if it works ok I would just leave it alone.....and get a fuel pressure guage to monitor the low pressure from the lift pump into the injector pump. One weakness in the system that can be monitored with a guage.

well the dealer said they would take care of it. I've only had the truck for not even two weeks yet.. if the engine stops running while im driving will it screw up anything? I dont want to risk messing something else up.

the lift pump will always be replaced with the inj pump if the dealer is worth anything. hope it was chrysler dealer unless its less than 100000 on it. if they do warranty it youll end up with your lift pump now in the tank instead of on the engine. good and bad points to that. if they warranty it insist on the lp gettin done with the ip or bosch will not warranty the ip. fact! gotta prove it to em.
face it now and get it done itll only get worse, drivivn along fine, go to pull out in traffic and the pedals onthe floor at 20 mph for 5 blocks,,,,be prepared, sorry bout the badnews,,,the codes tell all!!

Well ifs its not costing you anything its great to get a new updated injection pump on your truck. The dealer most likely install a replacement lift pump in your tank which isn't the greatest solution, but it can be bypassed if you want to upgrade your fuel system later.
