Correct Thermostat?
I just picked up a new thermostat for my '99 24V from the Dodge dealer and it does not look the same as the original. The original has a spring loaded block off plate that faces down when installed. The new thermostat does not have this. Does anyone know of a change to the thermostat? Does this new one sound correct?
jdeereboy,
Check out this post....https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...threadid=70392 ....mainly the last few entries. I guess there are some different thermostats out there. I'm torn between the 190* or the 180*.
My rig empty on the flats....normal operating temp is a bit over a needle width to the left of center.....does that mean it's a 180* stat?

Moose....mine points the same. It's a 180*. Going to change it to the Cummins #3967195...to get new design and avoid possible overheating...as per H.I.D.
