Coolant
Hmm, I've just fired up the engine for about 10 seconds to get the water pump to push out as much as it can. A way that works is to drain the radiator, refill it with water only, take the thermostat out, and run it for a minute or two, and drain the water out again.
Just remember that you have a little less than a gallon or so of water in the block for when you go to mix your antifreeze ratio. Also, fill the block back up through the thermostat housing, as this will push any air cavities out of the block.
The ratio:
I have 2 gallons distilled water
1.75 gallons low silicate antifreeze
8oz of Napacool, prevents electrolisis
16oz Redline DIESEL water wetter.
