converter not wanting to unlock

ok i was on the last section of my drive tonight and just after dodging about 20 deer in the road and a downed tree out of the blue my trans started to act up. it had been unlocking and locking a lot more than normal on the drive but now it does not want to unlock at all. to get stopped i have to manually shift down to second or first and it will jump a little and unlock but the second it goes back into D it locks right back up and wont unlock. no codes and im to tired to mess with anything now but any suggestions would be great. could this be bad grounds or issues more serious? trucks a 99 LWB with 176,xxx miles and mods are edge EZ, gauges, smoke switch, Goerend torque converter hd clutch packs and valve housings i think thats all that done right now. i do not have a lockup switch.

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Lockuup solenoid could be stuck open or valve could be stuck in vb. Possible grounded wire for lockup solenoid, but should generate a fault code.
Since it does unlock and seems to lock in drive, I suspect the converter is not the real problem. It is just responding to oil flow in valve body. JMHO
