cold weather program

cold weather program

I was just wondering if there is a way that I could tell if my truck has the cold weather start up program with out having it hooked up to a computer. ??? I have a 01. thanks dave

No you can't. Even if you did already have it installed it is disabled by default.

I see your truck is a 2001.........assuming drums in the rear for brakes? If so then you don't have the programming. It came out late 2001.

what type of hookup should I get to connect my truck to the computer. Can I use a laptop ? do I need a special program?

Obviously I know little about this - so any input would be appreciated.

You need to take your truck to the dealer or someone that has that type of programmer. Laptop or other P.C. won't do the job
