The codes you show are indicating a failing VP44.....

Sorry, but the 216 is usually the death sentance for the VP44 (injector pump). The 234 is an overboost that might be caused by, or causing the 216. I'm sure others will chime in that have had the same codes.

Some folks have run with the 216 for a long time before it quit on them. But, I would start saving for a new VP44.

It MIGHT cause the 216. Erase the codes and see which ones come back.

It looks like yout lift pump(transfer pump), is good, but the code says thereis a timing issue with the VP-44. This usually is a warning that it is dying.
Mine went 4-5,000 miles before I changed it out. It would have days of running ok, then some of real fits of smoke, shake, dead pedal. Notice I said running OK, this doesn't mean it was running good. I bought the Blue Chip VP-44 and am very happy with it.

I don't see how overboost causes 0216. 0234 just means your truck ran more boost than the ecm allows, and when this happens the ecm defuels until boost drops to +/- 20 lbs and throws a code. Once you get your box/programmer the boost fooling these units do will eliminate that code.
