Dead pedal and codes?

Dead pedal and codes?
My 2001 has the dead pedal. I had the lift pump replaced a two months ago. Now I have the following codes. Not sure what the codes mean. Can anyone help decipher them?
Truck is all stock except gages for towing.

P0216, Injection pump timing faliure, and the P0234 is turbocharger overboost,
I too just got the Dead peddle symptom a couple of days ago, I think the heat is bad for the computer parts of the Vp44 pump. There seems to have been alot of them failing recently with the warm temps. If you have under 100,000 on your truck, the dealer should replace the vp44 under cummins warranty

For the most part, the 0216 DTC is all you need to know......it means your VP44 is getting ready to croak....as CTD2001 mentioned, get to the dealer asap if you are still under warranty so you can have that VP changed out.
