Clutch Replacement Help

I paid a grand for my SBC DD3250 on sale ( 1300 normally ) but that is top of the line, and includes a new flywheel.
Personally, I would call Peter at SBC and tell him what you are going to be doing with the truck and let him recommend a clutch.
And other than being bigger and heavier ( plus the pain of the transfer case if 4X4 ) it really isn't any different than a car.....

I replaced my clutch with a 13" SBC. I had to do it twice. The first one was bad. (Feb08)
It only made a 1/4 clutch pedal from the bottom. It knocked heavily when the clutch pedal was out. Noise disapeared when the pedal was depressed.
The second one had a normal clutch pedal engagement about 3/4 up on the pedal. It picks up my fiver much better than the stock clutch. But, it still has a knock in it when the pedal is up, and the noise goes away when the pedal is depressed. The knock is no where near the loudness of the first one.
If you choose a SBC, I would be interested to know if it also knocks or makes noise.
I paid $ 700.00 for the whole kit.
Thanks
Dave
