help with clutch replacement
good day, sunny sunday afternoon project, clutch replacement, wrestled out my trans and found this, anyone tell me what it is and where it might be replaced? i believe it's part of the abs system, the other end of this wire comes off of the four plugs on top of the trans, also a rant, my door sticker says "made in mexico" could this be why there are metric and sae nuts and bolts on my vehicle, c'mon now , rear driveline cap bolts are metric, front driveline (4wd) are sae, same with the trans mount, metric to take it off the crossmember, sae to remove mount from trans, and i'm just getting started, anyway, if someone could tell me about this wire/fitting i would be greatly appreciative.
That is the vent for the vacuum operated front axle disconnect. When you shift back into 2WD, the vacuum must vent from one side of the diaphragm, through the vacuum switch, so it can be pulled back the opposite way.
Anyway, that's pretty much the way it should look, with one line attached to it. It is usually suspended at the rear of the engine, kinda behind the fuel filter area.

Looks like the t-case vent. The four prong plug on the t-case is vacuum to actuate the CAD on the front axle. One tube is from the vacuum pump, one is the vent/atmosphere line (the one you have pictured), the other two go to the CAD. The line should have a clip on it, goes through the bellhousing bolt at the top driverside.
As for the metric/standard cluster, the engine and chassis/body are metric. The rest of the driveline is standard. Diffs, t-case and tranny.
