Clutch Q's
Clutch Q's
I have a 2000 with NV4500, Edge comp box and 100hp injectors. The last time my clutch went out I spent $900 on a ZOOM clutch. I've hated it from the first day. The whole truck shakes when you leave from a dead stop. Now it's 2 1/2 years later and it's slipping while towing. Time for a new clutch. What I'm looking for is a clutch that won't shake my teeth out and has the feel of a stock clutch when leaving from a dead stop, but will hold up to towing. Can you guys please help me out. I don't want to flush more money down the drain. Will a Luk HD clutch hold up?
i would most deff recomend a southbend clutch i have a couple of friends that baught one and have been realy impressed i am tryen to convince the wife to let me break down and buy one my self personaly i think the
South Bend Dyna Max 13" Upgrade Clutch Kit MU 13-1.25 Con FE (Incl. Flywheel)

The clutch chatter is from the flywheel not being turned when they installed the new clutch. Be sure this is done when you replace yours. I have a Southbend Con ofe which is a very good clutch but my installer did not turn the flywheel and even after 2 years the clutch chatter is very annoying but better now than used to be.
