clutch help!!

My buddy has an 02 6 speed and his slave cylinder went out. He got the part from NAPA and is having probs trying to work the air out. Is there a trick or something to bleeding it off? He can pump it for a while and the pedal will get hard but after sitting overnight, it goes to the floor again. Any help would be great. Thanks

some guys have recommended back bleeding it. take the slave cyl. hooked up to the line, but remove it from the bellhousing and make sure your mastercyl. is full of fluid. Work the slave cyl. push rod in and out all the way. It'll probably be easier to have someone up top to help watch for bubbles and keep an eye on the fluid level.

You can return it to NAPA, and get the unit from Dodge already blead and is a sealed unit. It's a bit more expensive from Dodge.
