This problem started back last summer, truck was surging like it was off and on power. I figured well I'll just leave as is because I was about to go to Afghanistan for 6 months. My thought was if the truck doesnt drive down the street I wont have to worry about it being stolen, well stolen very far anyway. Fast forward 6 months, get back from Afghan and I limp the truck to the dealership to have them look at it, I kinda figure what is going wrong because this has happened before. After Dealer tech looks at it for 4 days tracking down this problem it turns out it was the ECM that was causing the problem. Not a big deal because I've had this changed with a reman'd unit about 2 years ago and it has a 3 year 36k warranty on it. This last week I was getting irritated because the service writer wont call me and keep me up to date with what was happening. Just got a call from him with some bad news about the ECM that was replaced. They told me it was a 3/36k warranty but in fact it was only 1/12k warranty. This is not the cheapest part if you guys dont know. So he talks with his boss and tells him the situation who emails the district GM about it and they agreed to pay for just over half the part. I couldn't believe it. I guess all my first reactions with this dealer have gone out the window. Even though I still have to pay for a really expensive part it is really nice. These guys get an A+ now for the help. I guess living in small town America has it's benefits.

I would still be ****** off if "THEY" told me it had a warranty i would go to "They" and demand a new one theses sleazy car dealers are the worst it's always some thing different than what you pay for .Good luck and thank you for your service .
