changing injectors

OK people can you give me a little encouragement :-. I'm just about to start the process of changing my injectors on my 2001. I would say I'm some what mechanically inclined but more so lazy :-[. I loaded up my little Tech Authority CD, looked up injector removal, printed out sections the CD manual called for . Now I've got 12 pages telling me all the items I need to remove :'(. Doesn't look like a quick job to me ???. Any good threads for easy change out of injectors. Appreciate any and all help! 8)

Re:changing injectors

You might want to place a post in the High Performance section.
Even though you didnt mention what your replacing your injectors with... I assume high performance ones... the guys that hang out over in the high performance section change their injectors more often than they change oil.

Re:changing injectors

Took me about two hours is all. Remove the cover (dah), with the rear cover bolt in place move the cover to the drivers side, you will be able to work the bolt and gasket up and out, then remove the cover. Remove the bolts from the throttle linkage assy and move it over to the drivers side. Remove the engine sling bracket from the rear of the engine. Disconnect the injector lines from the injector tubes on the side of the head. Remove enough of the injector line clamps to move the injector lines out of the way without bending them, you can if necessary loosen the injector lines at the pump. On each injector, take a small screwdriver and pry the tube out of the head at least 1/4 inch. Remove the injector clamp bolt that is to the front and passenger side of the injector, do not disturb the other bolt. Lift the clamp off the injector. Place a metric bolt into the top of the injector. Easily pry upward with a screwdriver under the head of the metric bolt, the injector will pop up. Make sure the copper washer is on the injector and if not it has to be removed. Put it back together using the proper torque on the injector clamp, pushing the injector and then the tube back in with finger pressure only.

I don't think I missed anything, all from memory.
