cant get a code to clear....

i have been running a boost elbow with no chip for a while, and ofcourse set off the overboost code 0234. tonight i did the reset on my apps, and while i was waiting on the batteries being unhooked i put the stock elbow back in...after finishing the process and hooking it back up the code is still there...shouldnt the batteries being unhooked for 30minutes have gotten rid of it?????? then i tried 2 different superchips scanners to clear the code, and both of them say "error detected" and wont clear it, still shows up on the key trick also...so whats this mean and how do i get rid of this code????? thanks..

not sure why the superchips won't clear it but i've had weirder stuff happen. . .

It should go off after a day or two of driving in the "motors perceived" normal boost contitions. The code should clear itself from the key trick after some time of not having the light on, maybe a month of driving. I believe it has to do with the key cycles and the time the motor runs before it will shut off the light and eventually clear the code.

My 02 was giving the same code only while pulling our TT even with the EZ, weird, at 31lbs pressure max. Anyway it took a few days of normal driving and the code(s) are gone, I was getting the 1693 234 and 237. All gone after about 3 days of driving and haven't returned. This happened twice this summer. It never felt like it defuled even pulling the TT when the code was set and certainly didn't defuel after the TT was unloaded.

Give it a few days, key cycles and run time, and it will clear itself.

good luck.
