The ECM uses pulse width modulation (PWM) to slow the pump only during starting. Otherwise it runs all the time wide open.
Looking at a Walbro myself....

Guys Iam lost tryin to figure every thing out and keep my ducks all in a row I want to update my lift pump to something a little more solid than the factory one that is working just fine and will keep as a spare but that being said I am not at the point were i want to do any thing from the tank back yet but I guess I am not seeing clear how a say a holley blue bolts right were the factory goes i can fathom how the fuel bowl for the filter goes back on
i mean is it as simple as it look and iam over thinking it any help would be nice thanks though in advanced

I don't think the are physically putting the Holley blue in the old LP mount. Instead they are mounting it to the frame and splicing it into the old tank to pump line. I changed to a Walbro from Glacier Diesel, but my LP was dead.
With any pump I would highly suggest that you mount at close to the fuel tank as possible... This will relief the pump of the stress of trying to pull the fuel...
Hence the name of a pusher pump is created...
Basically you can take a stock LP pump and move it the fuel tank and now you got a pusher pump...
