cam removal

I'm getting ready to swap cams in my truck. I need to know what size the dowels are to hold the tappets up. Thanks.

From: Gibsonia,Pa. 20 miles north Pittsburgh

You need 1/2" wood dowel rods, cut to length, then round the ends slightly with sand paper. Don't be afraid to push on them you won't hurt the tappet. Thanks Steve B.
