A/C Drain

So why is it when then a/c has not been used in awhile and been using the defroster with heat has water been comin out of the drain is it because of the moisture in the air being cooler and more damp?

When you select defroster the controller will turn on the ac to get the moisture out of the air and clear the windshield quicker.

Thanks this is my first winter with the drain hose apparently I lost mine some years back
