Boxes and injection pressure question
Boxes and injection pressure question
I'm still trying to figure what box to get, either the power puck or the edge ez. I was reading up on the puck and it increases the injection pressure. Some people complained that injectors got louder and it may have even damaged some injectors. My questions are, can the puck damage my stock injectors? Does the EZ modify injection pressure also? Is the power puck risky to use and will it make injectors louder than normal? Thanks.

In your sig you state you have a Quad Max Mileage on it's way to you. If so, upgrade it to the XZT+. You will be much more pleased with a XZT+ then you will with the PowerPuck or the EZ. It's adjustable, there are different downloadable programs available on the internet for free and it just down right fuels harder and haves a broader power band then both the Puck and the EZ.
As for abuse to the Injectors, I don't there is any. Yeah, the XZT+ flows more fuel but It shouldn't hurt the injectors. And it is safe for the VP-44 since it does NOT tap the wire.

You're getting the puck confused with the 3rd gen one. There is no way to alter the pressure of the VP44. That is what some CR boxes do to get more fuel. The VP pressure is set when the pump is built and cannot be changed by a tuner or box.
So how is the power puck? Anyone have any opinions on it. It's half the price of the EZ and I don't need levels if it improves driveability and MPG

look for a used EZ there are plenty of used ones out there for less than $200. I'm definatly happy with my power increase and smokes just a little bit before spool up. Good bang for you buck without worrying about damaging something.

Yeah, I know I can upgrade to the XZT+ for $150. But from the limited testing I did with no significant gains, and no seat of the pants feel from the chip, I'm reluctant to give another $150 to a company that I think is putting out a product that does nothing. How's that go... Fool me once, shame on you....
