Since we're on the subject of the block heater cords, what is the deal with the lil black clip holding the cord in place? I started ti fiddle with it, but with my track record of breaking EDIT, I left it alone. Do you have to break the clip, or can it be reused? Thanks

no it slides apart so the cord cant be pulled out its kind of a booger to get undone but it does slide apart. Along the lines of block heaters cords this is a option to do with one also.

Now just get yourself a battery maintainer (2 amp or less) and hook up a battery charger and you block heater together and you will have a truck that is ready for anytihng at anytime! Warmed and charged up!

Thanks another idea I pondered was running a second cord spliced off the front and run it to the back an mount it in the pillar right behind the tie down. Once you cut the OEM plug end off you are going to be scared at the amount of corrosion thats on the wires.
