black smoke/white smoke
upon start up my truck would puff a small amount of black smoke. the dealer disconnected then reconnected my turbo and now the puff of smoke is not as black but more of a grey or close to white. might the change of color have something to do with the weather getting colder ? nights here in so cal are getting into the low 50s.
thanks,
david h

Re:black smoke/white smoke
i forgot to say on the above post that the truck runs great with much boost when i get on it. the turbo does not whine as much as before but still the truck runs strong.

Re:black smoke/white smoke
My '03 will smoke white on bitter cold mornings (single digit temps), especially if I don't hit the grid heaters twice.
Don't think you'd hit those temps often in sunny SDiego.
