Big Problem?

I picked up a 2002 extended cab long bed about three weeks ago as a second truck. It had 50 thousand miles and was real clean. It needed some basic maintenance so I had all the fluids changed and both u-joints. Today for the first time, I was driving normally and all of a sudden the truck would not accelerate. I had my foot all the way to the floor and I was only going 5 mph. Does anyone have an idea what this could be? The truck also has a 7/70,000 mile warranty so I am not really worried. I would really appreciate some input. Thanks Guys!

Any codes?
Do you know what the FP is? Did you have a new fuel filter put in when you had the fluids changed?
Have you tried an APPS reset? Search the 2nd gen forums for what the symptoms are (dead pedal) and how to do a reset.

I had a new fuel filter put in. I also put Amsoil in the engine. tranny flush, coolant flush, front and rear diff. Everthing! Do you think it could be an injector? Are the fuel pumps bad on the 2nd generation dodges? My dealer service dept is excellent and they have a diesel tech who is outstanding. I just want to go in with some ammo so it will make it easier for everyone. I have not seen any codes. What is an apps reset?

How are you checking codes, the key cycling trick (on/off 3x, then leave in the on position and read the codes on the ODOMETER readout)? That is the best way to see them. The CEL might not catch some of them and an Autozone scanner won't catch them all.
An APPS reset is described here:

Hope you don't get the P0216 code
Sign of a failing VP-44.

YEP! I hope u dont get the P0216 code. U will be getting a new VP44. Believe me, I feel your pain. I got the P0216 code the dead pedal, the works. The dealer installed the piece of crap intank LP and the truck runs even more crappy.

Before I left the dealer I checked the codes and, wallla! P0216 reared its ugly head again!

The dealer will play stupid with you but dont take thier crap. U know and they know u need a new VP and the dealer will have to swallow it.

Good luck.
