J,
Some folks have all the tools! Does the pad have a vibrate/heat mode?

It's gota make your day go easier. I use an old metal milk crate, but then I seldom work in there and I'm 6'-4" so that's about all the reach I need.

I do appreciate all the help you post on here since I've been paying attention!!

I wanna know where the beer can holder is located?
LoL
Actually both knees on the VC is the method I used. Still looks like it would be easier to take the iner fender out though.

I used a two step stool, with some ols ruggs. Put some rugs ovre the batteries. Found myself lying on the rig. taking the Fuel Filter off makes the LP an easier job. You still end up in a position you would not have sex with.
My new Cummins gives me 12.5 idle, 10 close to WOT, with the Vulcan kit.
I can live with 10.

I just have to say that whenever you are crawling around on top of the engine be sure to remove the dipstick. This simple rule of life became obvious to me when I was changing my first LP and while contorting myself to reach the pump I put weight on the dipstick handle and snapped it off. That ws a $40 way to learn what should have been an obvious lesson to me.

I tried the through the fender wall trick and there just wasn't enough space for me...in the end I put the pump on the framerail.
