Question Belt Chirp

I HAVE BEEN NOTICING THAT WHEN I TURN OFF MY TRUCK THE BELT HAS STARTED CHIRPING. IT WILL NOT DO IT ALL OF THE TIME JUST EVERYONCE IN A WHILE. I HAVE REPLACED THE BELT AND HAVE USED THE BELT SQUEAL SPRAY. IS IT JUST NORMAL OR IS THERE A CURE?

Yes this is a normal situation. The compression of the engines stops it faster than the accesories can stop.

If you use a Goodyear Gatorback belt it will go away for a couple of years.

Why worry about the chirp... I've got GRUNT!

It all good... I got a different chirp now! It's the tires as I let the clutch out!

You should be worried if it ever stops chirping... lol. My friends mom drives a first-gen and the chirp stopped for a while and had her worried but it came back. She calls it the "Power-Squeak".
