Bd Boost Foller?

Has anyone installed the BD boost fooler on their trucks? How exactly do they work. The company claims it could possibly gain my truck around 50 more hp.

Any boost fooler works by limiting the signal the MAP sensor sends to the ECM. Without limiting, ECM will set an over-boost code and de-fuel the truck if the manifold pressure exceeds a pre-set value, I think about 20 psi. The fooler will limit the signal so the ECM does not see excessive boost pressure, and ECM then keeps fueling, potentially giving you extra HP and even more boost. This will keep going on until you run into EGT problems because of the drive pressure increases. This is where you will start looking for a better flowing turbo, etc. I think that the magic number for the HX-35 is 35 psi, after that is gets too restrictive and too hot.

Doesn't the Juice have boost fooling already? You'll gain nothing but a depletion from your wallet.

Boost foolers are intended to be used with injectors or with a box that does NOT boost fool.

Most of the aftermarket boxes cover the boost fooling for you, at least those that plug into the MAP harness.

Thanks for the help guys. I didn't know if the edge had a boost fooler incorporated in it. My truck does build up to around 35 to 40 lbs of boost so it must be already fooled. I just didn't know if it would help gain anymore ponies than what I already am getting

If your box plugs into the MAP sensor then it does boost fooling. more than likely...
