Your truck takes group size 24 batteries. Any autoparts store should carry these, they should be at least 750 CCA. If there is a Batteries Plus store in your area I know they have them.

Hope this helps

Incorrect.....the stock batteries for a second gen are Group 27.

Group 34/78 Optimas fit nice and you might be able to make a Group 65 fit (these are used in the third gens I believe).

You can make all sizes of batteries fit if you cut out one side of your battery tray

Auto-Zone has batteries for 2nd generation trucks. They are actually a great deal. 3 year free replacement warranty. http://www.autozone.com/addVehicleId...leSelected.htm

Yup! Got mine at Autozone! They had them in stock... but probably a lot less call for that size battery in NJ, than in the West!
I'm sure they can get them for you!

Auto zone for me as well. I get the yellow ones, I don't recall just which ones and it's too wet outside to go look. They have an outstanding warranty and good testing equipment to check them before replacement...
