Battery drainage issue.

Electricity is not my strong point at all. On my '99 the batteries are being drained over night. So what is the most common problem with these trucks that drain the batteries. Also whats the easiest way to troubleshoot the issue. I already load tested both of them and they are still in good condition. thanks

Look for simple things like glove box light on, or cell phone charger left in socket. How about a add on accessory wired direct?
The next step would be current draw test. Hook amp meter between positive cable and post. Take bat cable off other battery. Remove fuses until amperage draw is eliminated. Track out offending circuit.

Don’t forget to wait for the seatbelt timer. After you close all doors, the seatbelts will draw current for about 15 minutes. The best way to make the current test is to roll down a window, close door, and test the seatbelt for free play. If it is loose, the computer will still be drawing current. If it is not free the timer has shut off and is not drawing current.

I had that seatbelt timer fail and never stop drawing battery current. The seat belt was always free to pull out of the seat back.

The seat belt timer. After 15 min. i shouldnt be able to pull out the seat belt correct. I tried it with the window down and 20 min later i could pull it out.

I think your belts are supposed to pull out under normal driving conditions. They lock up when it is jarred or pulled fast.

Yes, seat belt pulling out is not your issue.
