Fram petcok for oil drainage.

Was in wallmart the otherday and thought after the way my first oil change went on my cummins i would look at these petcok drain tubes that fram makes {"I know ,, Fram sucks, } but thats only brand they had, but anyhow, the book had this particular number for the dodge 5.9 cummins from89 till 93 then it does not list any number from the 94 on up. wouldnt the drain plug be the same size? If not where is the best place to get one without robbing my wallet? Help! :P

I think, but I''m not positive that you have a 22x1.5mm thread on the plug. The Fram SureDrain plugs have part numbers like SD1, SD2, etc., but they have a coresponding thread number on the blister card too. Check and see if they have one that matches the thread size above. There are a few guys on here that use the Fram plug without problems.

Tom Hybiske

I did a little more research, and found that Fram doesn't make your thread size. Bite the bullet, and get an EZ-Drain from Geno's Garage. It works great.

Here are the Fram sizes available:
SD1 - 1/2 - 20

SD2 - M14 X 1.5

SD3- M12 X 1.25

SD4 - M12 X 1.75

SD5 - M18 X 1.5
