Check your yellow pages for a battery dealer like interstate or delco. They should have the one you need. Mine from interstate was around $100.00 or so.

Hi. All genuine NAPA branded batteries are manufactured by East-Penn Battery (supplier for U.S. Military) and are good quality batteries. What you need is a Group 31, 1000 CCA or better battery. My factory battery lasted 8 years, and I have had my NAPA battery since Jan 01. Group 31 is the same size and type as used in most large trucks so it has a larger case, and is VERY resistant to vibration etc. Unfortunately, at least in Canada, this lowers the warranty length because it is usually only used in Commercial applications. Other suppliers may not decrease the warranty length, so check around. NAPA part # (Not sure if it's the same in the U.S.) is 31-9. Hope this helps.

thanks for the info. i just got off the phone with an Interstate dealer and he's quoted me $104 for the top of the line battery which is a 31p-mhd and has 1100 cranking amps. unfortunately, they close in 25 mins and they're 30 mins away! also they're closed on the weekend! just my luck! oh well, guess i will have to wait till monday! thanks again!

I use a 30H Commercial mattery from sears. I just had to replace one and it was on sale for $79, normally $84. It had 1025 CCA. As mentioned earlyier though, it is a commercial battery and has that type of warranty... 3 month replacement and 36 mos. pro-rated.
Just and option as most everyone has a sears somewhere nearby and they are open on weekends.

ok! the new battery from Interstate is in and she starts up and runs like a well oiled cummins! very happy, very pleased. however, the guy on the phone told me that it has 1150 cca and on the battery it says 950. little puzzling at the time and then when i turned the battery around on the other side it showed 1250 cca on the lable? what gives? anyhow, according to his book the actual group 31 battery that i have is supposed to have 1250 cca. she started up like it has 2 batteries in her! hehe!
As far as costco, the biggest/largest cca battery they sell/carry out here in Modesto, CA is only 800 cca and thats an optima!
thanks for all the help everyone. and for all the input. i always consult with this site first BEFORE asking any idiot at the local auto parts store. you guys got it going on!!!
