If you decide to replace the APPS then Timbo is the only way to go. Mine was surging and cutting out, replaced with the Timbo and no more problems, been a year.

My APPS went out on me, 2nd time, first time was in 2004, so I took it to the dealer to get it fixed. In 2004 it cost me $420 to get it scanned and replaced. Yesterday it was $120 for the scan and $720 plus 8.3 sales tax for the sensor and install. I could buy a OEM replacement from Amazon.com for $420 or a Timbo for $165. I read Timbos replacement instructions and sent off an order yesterday afternoon.
