Re:APPS experiences

I did it, and it seemed to be more responsive. I think it makes the biggest difference if you do it after different driving conditions. For example- If always city driving, do it before you go on an extended hwy trip and vice versa.

Re:APPS experiences

Seemed to be effective. Acceleration is smoother, no flat spot or hesitation at about half throttle. No improvements in MPG.

Re:APPS experiences

On mine it did improve shift points and therefore acceleration. Since I had some noise on the APPS signal to the PCM I installed a noise filter and had to recalibrate again.

After reading this thread, I went back and read the procedure again. It seems I left out a step. I didn't set the parking brake as prescribed. Will that make a difference?

As far as I know, it won't make any difference if you don't set the parking brake. I didn't set the PB when I performed this on my truck, however it still cured my tranny from occasionally dropping out of lock-up in overdrive at 65 mph. ;D The truck has not done it again since I did the reset.
