APPS Bypass

I read a post a few weeks ago about somone having an APPS bypass done. Is there such a thing? I used to own a 2000 Dodge Cummins and never had APPS problems. I did not have cruise control on that truck. Does that have anything to do with an APPS? I have cruise on my 02 and have had APPS problems for the last 25000 miles. I'd love to find a way to do away with that annoying problem without replacing it if possible. Thanks.

no u cant bypass the apps, but u can reset it and or possibly clean it. the dtt web site has the correct reset procedure, cleaning it is only reccomended as a last resort and even then u are only buying more time before it needs to be replaced. if u have a pulsating cruise control u can use a straw in the vacuum line to the cuise control actuater to reduce the pulsations.
