Is anyone removing Blow-by cannister?
I have read about removing the blow by cannister on the 24 V, which is located near the front of the engine. Mine keeps getting oil everywhere, and I wwswondering about removing it and running an hose to keep the blowby below the engine. Any ideas?
I ran mine below the cross member, and used zip ties to keep it from flapping in the breeze. I also installed a foam filter in the end of the hose, to help keep the dirt out of the hose. I know of a lot of guys and gals, who have done this.
Search "puke bottle" and see all kinds of options re: removing and re-routing the puke bottle.
I ran mine down along the block and ended it at the trans. You will need a 2 1/2" long by 3/4" threaded nipple, two zip ties and a 4 foot length of 3/4" fuel grade hose to do it like mine.

Relocating the blowby bottle is very common. It keeps all that oily air away from the radiator and engine. Running an extended hose down under the engine to as far back as you'd like is the normal procedure. Just make sure you dont allow any sagging in that extension hose which could cause collected oil to puddle and block the flow of air since that would blow a seal. There is other methods to routing the vent if you do a search.
