air in the injectors?

Ok. So I take the truck into the dealership for an oil change. I get it back and the darn thing starts stalling when I shift gear. No smoke, no power loss when throttle wide open. It doesn't do it all the time either. We changed the fuel filter and emptied the water in fuel separator. Then it started shooting fuel out of the separator. We took the separator lever off and cleaned out the port. The fuel stopped shooting out and after bumping a few times we got the truck to turn over. Unfortunately we still have the problem. I called the dealership and they indicated that they had trouble with the separator closing also. Could I be getting air into the injectors through the separator? Although I believe we bought the right filter, could a bad or wrong filter cause this problem? It doesn't appear to be either pump. How hard is to replace the gaskets in the separator or replace the separator all together?

I believe that the fuel/water separator is just mounted to the intake with 2 bolts. After removing the fuel lines, bolts, and sensors. The separator should come right out. Piece of cake.

Not sure about what would cause the problem though...probably an air leak in the separator would be my guess. I dont think a wrong filter would cause the problem unless it prevented the cap on the separator from completely closing.
