"99" Front Brake Rotor Replacement

Somehoe I cannot find all the good threads about removing the front rotors. Do you guys have links to them? After 215K miles mine are really bad, and need to be replaced.

I had this link, but it talks about using a wheel puller.

Is it a 4x4?
Link is correct
From link I assume it is. U have never changed out the front bearing units before? If not, then it will be a real pain getting rotor/bearing assembly off. Just want to be careful and not pull the axle out too, I think that's why the link shows using a puller. There is that trick where you can use a socket and turn the wheel to push the unit off the axle- I think that right, scratching head.

I sort of had a rotor problem too,,, Imagine the vibration and Noise this made.
On that link you talk about with the puller, I never used a puller on them That Must put allot of pressure diff carrier. The way I did it was buy Longer bolts that will replace the 12 point bolts that hold the bearing in, I think they were 6 inch's,,screw them in about an inch or so then turn the steering wheel back and forth so the bolts hit the differential housing and push the bearing out.

that was your rotor? wow...but the way i took mine off for the first time was took a bfh, and beat the hell out of the old rotor until it slid off, looks like someone put some kind of gasket material behind the bearing onto the suspension part (cant' think of name) and it eventually came off, but your way seems easier on the parts
