Exclamation 98 2500 Fuel leak

Started leaking fuel from the filter assembly/housing. Clearly it's leaking from the fuel heater plug at the top. Is it most likely a faulty O-ring/seal causing the leak or that the heater plug, filter housing is cracked and needs replacement.

I don't see any damage from the outside. Wanted some ideas before taking it apart.

Hopefully housing is fine, o-ring is a known problem.

Here is all the info you should need, not a bad job at all.

definitely the Oring.
Fairly simple to fix. Take off the whole unit and you can get it on a bench to work. Clip off the plug and you can pull the whole heater unit out of the housing. I have a HF set of nitrile orings I bought and found one that fit. Screw it back in place and crimp on a new plug..no more leaks.
