6-spd Trick or Treat ???
Now I know about the 6spd being notchy and a pain to shift,
But do you guys find yourself going into another gear like 3rd or 5th before sticking it into reverse or 2nd ???
I've noticed here lately since I've been putting about 300 miles a day on my truck; that when this baby warms up real good.
I find myself going to 3rd or 5th first so that it will go into gear easier, when I come to a dead stop sometimes ...
by the way the clutch, pressure plate and throw-out bearing all have bout 5k on them...

Changing the oil will make a difference. It doesn't last forever.
Running MTL in mine made a big difference. The MTL evens tells me when it needs changing, the shift quality falls off.

I don't believe its Dodges fault as they just buy the trannies from New Venture Gear.
Yea right give me a break, I love my truck more than the next guy, but
their was just some crappy thinking when they assembled the 98.5-02 CTD's.
