I've purchased a 2002 ETH/DEE. If I can't find the "53" below the IP on the block does that mean it I'm looking in the wrong spot? Or should there be another number there? I don't see anything but I want to make sure I'm looking in the right spot.


The main question: If there is not a 53 there should there be another number instead if I'm looking in the right spot?

 

There should be some numbers there. It is just above the oil pan on the block. If you are like me and don't see close up very good the number 53 will still stare you right in the face. If there are a bunch of other small numbers you are safe.

Drivers side just like you said...under the IP.

There are no 2002's with 53's. 2002 will have a 55 or 56, if you cant find the numbers you are good to go either way.
