5 Speed

99 With 5 Speed Seems To Be Getting Harder To Shift I Read Somewhere To Change The Tran Oil It Has Never Been Changed With 165 K On It If So What Would Be The Best Oil To Put In It

redline mt-90, get it at summit racing. check out there website,I was having the same problem, the redline made a huge difference.

Redline reccomends using a 50%-50% mix of MTL and MT-90 thats what i have in mine and shifts great

The recommended oil is Castrol Syntorq LT. I have used Amsoil 75W-90 and have had no problems.

Only synthetic around here is Lucas or Royal Purple. Would the R-P be acceptable?

Get the castrol from either dodge or GM dealer. Redline ended up killing my synchros.

Did mine today 3.8 liters, 4 US quarts. I used the Amsoil 75W-85 synthetic. What a difference smooth as silk.

Should you overfill It 1 quart, like the older Getrag? Wouldnt hurt.....

I know some do like to "overfill" but I'm a believer in "correctly" servicing everything by the book. A life time on heavy metal jets will do that to you.
