47re Shudder, not locking in OverDrive

Have the 4th Gear Hunt issue that many 47re Trans seem to experience. The Trans doesnt Lock completely into Over Drive Any longer. Ive Replaced the set of OD Soleniods, Adjusted Front and Rear Banding, New Filter with Ams Trans Oil and New TPS. Cleaned and checked all my Grounds and installed additional Grounds hoping to resolve the issue. My next Move is to buy the Noise filter in hopes that this will finally fix the problem. But my concern is that because ive driven it with the issue and it no longer is locking, have i damaged the trans. had a rebuild done less than 30k miles upgraded Torque Converter and Shift Kit. Im also having the issue with the 2-3 gear shifting, letting off the pedal or shifting into neutral and back to shift (but i have the pressure solenoid and switch to fix that issue). Pressing the OD on/off button doesnt make any difference. Cruise control Still works. my Tps Voltage is at .61v and stock (before replacing was at .524v), i upped it for better throttle response and idle. Ive checked all connectors and have used Di-electrical grease at the PCM and TPS. Am i doing something wrong or am i just missing something. any help is appreciated! ***Edit*** If my Alt is over charging, could that cause an issue or a bad set of batteries?

It could be the alt. Had my trans done a few years ago and still had same problem, without the slip. Trans shop changed the alternator and problem was solved.

try adding a ground wire from the APPS ground( tie into the wire going to the APPS near the APPS) then to the battery and/or the engine. I think this is also like th Suncoast mod.

I had to on mine..then the hunting for over drive went away.

+1 on the ground wire from the apps to the negative on the battery. I had the torque conv. lock/unlock problem and the mod fixed mine.

Thanks for the input. ive already tapped a ground wire into the apps harness about 8in below the apps and is chassis grounded using 10ga copper wire but it still hasnt fixed the problem. sounds like im going to buy the noise filter and give that a try.

have tried taking the ground wire to the battery? not just the chassis?
I tied mine to the engine and the battery. also you might move it close to the apps and/or use a large braded wire.

tapped a ground wire about 4 inches below tps and ran the wire to the chassis ground, where the cable bolts to the chassis that comes from the neg terminal on the battery

Had the same problem. BD makes the proper fix APPS noise isolator and is a simple 5 minute install. Here's the link:

I haven't had any more problems!
