daily driver, occasional heavy tows

Frequent fluid / filter changes and one time issue with bands out of adjustment ... no problems since. Decent tranny from a stock truck standpoint.

Just purchased a month ago. Mine does the same thing TEDHRS's truck does. (Have to help it into OD). Fluid / filter change and band adjustment last week. I plan on pulling a 28' stock trailer, 32' flatbed goosneck loaded down with round bales.

I've learned (via DTR board) that the tranny does shift nicer with the OD turned off up to about 50 mph. Doesnt seem to "hunt" as much.

So far it's holding RV 275s and a MAD ECM. I do have a shift kit. The MAD ecm is pretty aggressive fuel wise, so I try to take it easy.

2000, 2500, 4.10, 174,000 miles.

I bought it used last November at 161,000 miles. The guy I bought it from said it was rebuilt under warranty at about 100,000 miles. He said occasional heavy towing, but mostly highway miles.

We serviced it at the first of the year (fluid, filter, bands, etc). I use it as a DD (very little towing). I think the TQ is slipping a little, but I have no big complaints so far.

I've got an EZ on the way, so we'll see how well it holds up to that and pretty heavy right foot...

Bought 2 years ago with 54,00 miles. Previous owner towed a 5th wheel to Mexico a few times, and used it as a daily driver. I did fluid/filter change, band ajustment (due for another). No problems at all. I'm happy. (Daily driver for me).

Mainly empty daily driver, but had to move and made 4 trips from AZ to OR then 1 trio from Or to FL, grossing from 18K up to 24K

Tranny started acting up by not shifting into second gear. only went into 2nd when cold. Got a new tranny and TC. MUCH better. Oh after the Smarty is when it started acting up.

Fluids been changed twice and filter once
No towing but lots of full throttle runs from 0-110mph and anything in between including frequent lock up switch use and heavy lugging.

It's just now starting to slip in OD with the comp turned all the way up. Normal driving with the comp on 1x2 doesn't seem to affect it to much.

Tow HEAVY a lot...
No problems, just had tranny serviced. Everything looked great!

I got 217k miles out of my '96 CTD automatic, just by servicing every 20k miles. Still going strong for the new owner. I regularly towed heavy with that one, too...

Nothing wrong with Dodge trannies!

Tow #7700 TT and use it as a daily driver. Had a shutter when lugging it and found out that one of my VB bolts was laying in the pan. No problems now. I'm pretty easy on my stuff and a little **** about maintenance. When she does lay down, I will probably go with a Jasper since I can't afford a Goerend or DTT.
